Loved the books, I think it's sweet how when Tessa goes into Vance that Anna Todd walks out. I'm 10 minutes in and I already know it should have never been made into a movie. We're already at the lake scene! They barely have had any dialogue between the two characters. Absolutely no depth in the dialogue either. Zero chemistry between Hardin and Tessa. I'll stick to the books, as usual.
Tessa meets Karen for the first time at the wedding! This movie skips their relationship entirely. Hardin doesn't even speak about his father until the wedding. Absolutely ZERO arguments or Hardin's up and down of emotions and I'm 3/4 of the way in to the movie. I feel like they've exchanged 50 words back and forth between Tess and Hardin the entire movie. DO NOT READ THE BOOK, FALL IN LOVE WITH IT AND WATCH THIS. IT WOLL RUIN IT FOR YOU.

Let me say thank you! Thank you for showing black families who have experienced the loss of a child in this way. I admire their commitment to support eachother through such a life changing experience. My husband and I went through this with the loss of our triplets after 17years of infertility. Although 8yrs have passed and we have been blessed with our beautiful rainbow baby, I will never forget the vivid memory of grief counselors leaving 3 keepsake boxes on my hospital bed, walking through the hallway of the maternity ward to the car where my 3 car seats were empty, going to church and work for the first time, and trying to figure out my identity as a parent of three angels. Even now it is difficult to describe. So thank you. thank you. thank you. it helps knowing we are not alone in our love. God bless this beautiful couple❤️🙏🏾.

There are differences between the books and the movie, of course. But in my opinion you have to see the them as two different things, not as one.
They had to make changes, but the author said, everything important is in it and even there are scenes, that are not in the book, it can be a great movie. AND IT IS!
If you like romance, drama and a perfect cast, watch this movie, but don't try to compare it with the books all the time. You just disappoint yourself.
It can be seen independent from the books.
